Our Story

Rewinding to Oct 2015…
We both met on a night that almost didn’t happen.
Andy had just returned from a six-month
RAF deployment in Cyprus, and Aimée had recently taken over her florist, Forget Me Not.
That night nearly fell apart, before it started.
Andy was recovering from a late music event in Manchester, and Aimée was just about to call it a night when fate intervened.
Thanks to a little encouragement from friends, we both ended up at Rosie's Bar & Nightclub in Chester, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Since then, we’ve shared more adventures than we could have ever imagined…
From quad biking through North African villages, floating high over the Atlas Mountains in a hot air balloon, feeding safari animals in Cyprus, sampling the awesome food in the Jewish Quarter of Krakow, cycling all around Copenhagen (slightly tipsy), wandering the canals of Amsterdam, island hopping in the Balearics,
to getting engaged in Croatia…
Fast forward to 2026…
Amidst all our adventures, we feel so fortunate to have built a happy, fun-filled home for our three wonderful children: Carter, Arnie, and Aliza.
From a night that nearly didn’t happen…
to a decade of incredible memories,
and now to a lifetime together.

A brief timeline of our adventures from Rosies bar,
to the Grange Barn.
No. 14 Gladstone Street
— The first ‘big-step’. Moving in to a 2-bed rental and sharing the bills, rather than Andy lodging (squatting) at Aimée’s flat!
Menorca: Oct 16
— Our first holiday abroad together. Sun, sea, sand… and sh*te food! It was a bargain end-of-season getaway, which apparently meant the evening meal was, “whatever we’ve got left in the freezer, Sir”.
The fact we made it through this holiday still together probably set us up well for the next ten years, as everything that could have gone wrong, did!

— On the property ladder! It was a busy Christmas getting the new place ready for a new arrival in the February of 2019, our Arnie. Where have those last 8 years gone!?

Our first child together — our Arnie-man! From those early days he’s taught us so much, and he still keeps us on our toes today. A thoughtful, caring and sensitive boy… with a wonderfully chaotic side, to put it lightly.
Aliza Wren Houston: 2 December 2021
— 7lbs 11oz
Our darling little girl, Aliza. Bossy, hilarious and delightfully independent. Centre of attention. Always eating, always talking, and never letting a quiet moment last for long.
Engagement: 8 August 2022
— KRKA National Park, Croatia. After a few days of partying at Defected Croatia, Andy planned a day break to the local national park to escape the festival. Surrounded by breathtaking waterfalls, bright blue lakes, and the constant buzz of locusts, he found the perfect place to propose.
In true Andy fashion, the proposal did not quite go to plan. He asked a passer-by to film the moment, but despite Andy’s best attempt at Italian, the man stopped the video just before the proposal itself. A lovely moment, slightly lost in translation - non importa, amico.
…and the rest is history
Ten years on, we feel truly blessed to have shared all of these milestones and countless little adventures,
with our beloved Carter, Arnie, and Aliza.
We’re so excited to finally celebrate us as husband and wife, surrounded by our incredible friends and family all in one room…
A moment that we know is exceptionally rare,
and one that we will cherish forever.
